In just 3 weeks time, my bags will be packed to leave for Japan to take in the greatest koi show on earth, the All Japan Koi Show in Tokyo.
This is the show everyone wants to win, and the place to see the absolute best koi on display anywhere in the world.
The show takes place on the 3rd and 4th February (public opening). Once the show is wrapped up, it's a Shinkansen ride up to Nagaoka, our base for our buying trips in Niigata.
There we will spend the week sourcing mostly tosai for the start of the season, but also larger fish for stock and customer orders.
If anyone has any particular requests, then please do not hesitate to contact us and discuss your needs. There is an opportunity to source koi for the International Junior Koi Show that takes place in Nagaoka on the 20th April if showing in Japan is of interest to you, or perfect time to find koi to be conditioned for the BKKS National in June.
We will be running a daily blog of our time in Japan, and koi will be added to the website for purchase where possible.
